Ever wondered how best to get rid of your old computer? This Saturday, April 19, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., stop by the Santa Barbara School District Office (720 Santa Barbara St.) for a one-day Electronic Waste Disposal event to collect harmful electronics from the community and ensure they are properly recycled and not dumped in the landfill. All electronic items, such as computers, monitors, and TVs will be accepted (residential items only). Sponsored by 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, this event is part of its first-ever North America-wide e-waste event, in honor of Earth Day. For one day, 1-800-GOT-JUNK’s partners across the continent will hold e-waste events to demonstrate their dedication to disposing of junk of all kinds in an environmentally responsible way.
