The California Highway Patrol reported fewer overall driving-related arrests and citations statewide over the past Labor Day weekend-1,580 for driving under the influence, down from 1,749 on the same weekend last year. In Santa Barbara County, CHP and police officers made a combined 25 arrests for driving under the influence and 168 speeding citations. No driving-related fatalities were reported in the county.
