Goleta Students Escape Catalina Island Fire
A group of sixth-graders from Goleta’s Hollister School were evacuated from Santa Catalina Island after a wildfire broke out on 5/10. The 85 students, five staff members, and 15 parents were visiting the Catalina Island Marine Institute when the blaze-which scorched more than 4,000 acres-erupted.
