Ricardo Juarez, 14, pleaded not guilty to murder charges on 4/28 after being charged as an adult for allegedly stabbing 15-year-old Luis Angel Linares to death during a gang brawl on 3/14. Public defender Karen Atkins has said she believes that Juarez belongs in juvenile court-like the 10 others being charged in relation to the fight-and plans to meet with the District Attorney before Juarez’s next court date.
