An often overlooked territory is making waves, with Francine Silverman’s Talk Radio for Authors – Getting Interviews Across the U.S. and Canada hitting the press, featuring three Santa Barbara based radio talk shows. Talk radio is growing in popularity, and Silverman’s book makes choosing the right show even easier. The book covers Internet and radio shows, organizing 230 shows into 40 categories, intending to highlight each show’s expertise. As well, host and guest bios and opinions add a personal approach in a convenient package. While the book is intended for authors, Silverman has created a resource for readers as well, helping to find the correct show by theme, and including information on the station, guest criteria, and means of contact. The author has also created an online blog intended for hosts and guests of talk radio to comment on their show and guest experiences. Check out Santa Barbara’s featured radio shows, including Book Talk, on 102.3 KCLU and Halfway Down the Stairs with Uncle Ruthie, Inner Vision and Another Worldview is Possible, both on KPFK, 98.7FM. Talk Radio for Authors is available by calling Infinity Publishing toll-free at 1-877-BUY-BOOK.
