Skin and Light
Singer/songwriter Jeff Sparks, the multifaceted former member of Primitive Radio Gods, has explored numerous musical genres over the years, performing as Duplex, Sparkles in the Milk, and The Limes. Most recently, Sparks has given us Skin and Light, his debut album as The White Fires of Venus, released on the Corporate Nightmare Records label.
Subdued vocals coupled with finger-picked acoustic guitar and simple, poetic lyrics that mirror the Santa Barbara coast it was recorded on, Skin and Light is for fans of Elliot Smith, Mazzy Star, or Iron & Wine. Sparks’ songs are the perfect soundtrack for a break-up, or a rainy day spent reading at home in your bathrobe.
