La Salsa Chain Sold to Competitor

On 5/30 Santa Barbara-based CKE Restaurants Inc. announced it will sell its La Salsa Fresh Mexican Grill chain to Baja Fresh Mexican Grill in order to focus on its Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s restaurants. The deal, which is expected to be finalized by the end of this month, will give California-based Baja Grill 100 percent ownership of the 96 La Salsa restaurants in the country. No financial details were disclosed.
