Blum Faints, Hospitalized in Vegas

Mayor Marty Blum was hospitalized after a “fainting episode” on a flight to Connecticut on 11/28. Because of the incident, the plane was diverted to Las Vegas, where Blum was seen by a doctor, according to city Administrative Services Director Marcelo Lopez. Physicians think it was a reaction to a change in her post-cancer medication, according to Councilmember Das Williams. Blum is now okay and back in Santa Barbara.
