New Steps Will Be Stainless Steel
Three new stainless steel staircases are being built in Isla Vista, at the ocean ends of Camino del Sur, Camino Pescadero, and El Embarcadero. Construction began this week and is expected to impede beach access until mid October. The new stairs will replace older, dilapidated wooden ones that constituted a safety hazard.
