ALO’s Roses & Clover: Earlier this year, the former Isla Vistans (and current Ellwood-ian, lead singer/pianist Zach Gill) known as Animal Liberation Orchestra dropped this poppier, radio-friendlier album, full of catchy, tight tunes that should appeal to more than just their longtime jam-rock fans. They’ve been touring the world ever since the release and, before heading off to Japan, make a summer homecoming this weekend to SOhO, where they play both Saturday and Sunday nights.
