The Snobs unleash their ditry rock once again.

The Skinny: The Snobs were created through a series of chance encounters and mutual musical admiration in 2004. Their sound is self-described as “pop music in wolf’s clothing,” but the band isn’t afraid to claim everything from punk, jazz, rock, and even show tunes as possible influences.

After spending a rowdy weekend recording over 40 songs at The Nook in Buellton, The Snobs decided on the 15 that sounded most like the riot of a live show that the band mates wanted to stay true to, including the mistakes. The Snobs EP, packaged by the bandmates themselves and complete with free beer stains, is available for purchase at shows or website snobsspace.com.

Their music is definitely wise-ass rock, you can almost hear a brawl breaking out in the background, and can be best enjoyed in a noisy, crowded bar, much like their upcoming Creekside performance on 4/20.

Next gig: This Friday, April 20, 9 p.m., at the Creekside Inn on Hollister Avenue in Noleta. They also are playing on June 27 at SOhO.
