For those looking for a meaty exploration of art’s philosophical
implications, the Interdisciplinary Humanities Center at UCSB
presents a talk with Dennis Kennedy, professor at Dublin’s Trinity
College. The lecture, titled Memory, Performance, and the Idea of
the Museum, will explore methods of organizing the space of memory,
the relationship of theater festivals to memory, an examination of
Hamlet, and the process of forgetting. The thinking caps will go on
at UCSB’s McCune Conference Room (Humanities & Social Sciences
Building, Room 6020) on Tuesday, October 17 at 5 p.m.
