Best known for its local all-volunteer Raggedy Ann and Andy
Patient Care Program, the Adventures in Caring Foundation is
celebrating the release of its latest video production, Compassion
in Action, with a premiere screening on Thursday, November 30 at 4
p.m. at the Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum. Based on real-life
footage from local hospitals and nursing homes, the film shows
healthcare pros facing the challenges of communicating with heart,
especially in difficult conversations with patients and their
families, and demonstrates how compassion is a learnable skill for
turning stressful situations into opportunities for understanding
and healing. Compassion in Action builds on material presented in
the earlier, award-winning Adventures in Caring release, The
Medicine of Compassion. For more info, visit AdventuresInCaring.org, or call
