In the mid-1970s, a small crew of surfers from Australia and South Africa had a vision. They wanted to take the sport of surfing and turn it into a legitimate professional industry. BUSTIN DOWN THE DOOR, produced by Santa Barbaras Shaun Tomson, shows how pioneering surfers like Peter Townsend, Mark Richard, Wayne Bartholomew, Ian Cairns and Tomson himself invaded the North Shore of Oahu and became the first real superstars of surfing. This groundbreaking surf movie features never before seen historic footage and a soundtrack that includes classics from the Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Blind Faith, and more.
