Theater 101 will focus on the basics of how to analyze and create a character and touch on different acting methods as created by the masters – Stanislavsky, Brecht and Grotowsky. Monologue, dialogue, and improv will be part of the course work, as well as breathing techniques, how to incorporate the physical changes of a specific character, the importance of sub-text, how to seek the light, how to move on stage, and basic theater terms.

Theater 101 is for eight weeks: Sept. 7, 14, 21, 28, Oct. 5, 12, 19, 26.
