Description:

Born in Naples, Italy Feriante established himself in his late teens as a virtuoso and began touring the world as a classical guitarist. He later became a master student of the legendary Andres Segovia, and refined his sound while working with the master.
“One of the most important things I learned from Segovia was how he used his righthand technique to make the guitar sing with a beautiful tone,” said Feriante. “This technique is not often used by modern guitarists, so I feel that I carry on his legacy with every note that I play.”
Feriante applies this technique to other instruments now including a variety of ukelele, banjo and electric guitar the last of which can be heard on his latest recording called, Beatles Masquerade which is being released on this tour. He has also evolved stylistically and often incorporates poetry, dance, and improvisation into his performances with his ensemble called, The Bohemian Entourage.
In addition to his new work, Andre has released 12 other recordings including Bohemian Boulevard, which was awarded the prestigious honor of “Best World Album” in the New Age Reporter’s 2006 Lifestyle Awards.
In addition to his musical notoriety, Feriante made MSN’s celebrity feature list of, “12 Sexy Bald Men,” along with Andre Agassi, Seal, Vin Diesel, Taye Diggs and Patrick Stewart, among others. He currently resides in Seattle, WA where his annual Valentine’s Performance at the renown Benaroya Hall is a much anticipated regional event.
