Armando de la Rocha is originally from the western Sierra Madre of Mexico and never touched the clay medium until he came across a ceramic studio in Santa Barbara in the mid 1990s. Self-taught artist and pioneer of the Día de los Muertos movement on the central coast, de la Rocha has stayed loyal to his passion in the ceramic world, creating one-of-a-kind narrative items.
