In the middle of a howling snowstorm, a bus out of Kansas City pulls up at a cheerful roadside diner. All roads are blocked, and a few weary travelers are going to have to hole up until morning. A nightclub chanteuse, a twenty-one-year-old cowboy, a belligerent cowhand and a middle-age scholar comprise the unexpected guests. The local sheriff, the overly friendly bus driver and the two diner waitresses round out this warm-hearted slice of humanity. A little romance, some comedy and a mysterious past or two are all served up hot and steaming on a cold Kansas night.
The Theatre Group at SBCC continues the 2013/2014 season with William Inge’s classic play, BUS STOP, directed by R. Michael Gros.
Parking is free and near the Theatre. For information or reservations call or purchase tickets online.
