"HeartSaver" CPR/AED Course
This course will offer classes on CPR and FBAO.
When: Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital,2050 Viborg Rd Solvang, CA
Age limit: 10+
You are nvited to attend the “HeartSaver” CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) and FBAO (Foreign Body Airway Obstruction) class for adults in the front conference room at the hospital.
Based on American Heart Association guidelines for the lay public, the HeartSaver course covers CPR and FBAO for adults and children over the age of eight years. This class also includes instruction of the use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator).This course is appropriate for non-professional caregivers, teachers and any lay person who wants to learn these skills. Participants will receive a course completion card upon successfully finishing the class.
Educator, Tina Collins, RN, MSN, ICCE with the Cottage Health System Education Department leads the course and says, “Come and learn how to be a heart saver. What you learn in three hours could rescue someone’s life.” Collins has worked in patient education with Cottage Health System for more than 30 years and has extensive knowledge of these critical life skills.
