Music Club Free Concert

Opening chamber music concert is dedicated to Glory Fisher

When: Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, 3 p.m.

Where: 40 E Anapamu Street

Cost: Free

Age limit: All ages

Categories: Classical

This opening concert is dedicated to the memory of Glory Fisher, beloved collaborative pianist and chamber music coach who passed away earlier this year. In addition to her contributions as Staff Pianist in the UCSB Department of Music, she taught a wonderful chamber music class at Santa Barbara City College for 30 years. And so it is appropriate that the program features not only music by two of the greatest composers of chamber music, but that some of the performers have coached with Glory, and that her two sons are participating: Glenn and Randy, both fine musicians with notable experience in performing and teaching. Music of Mozart and Brahms, with performers Betty Oberacker, Alan Bishop and Ervin Klinkon will also be heard.
