A terrific pre-halloween event for kids is being offered on the lawn at the Neal Taylor Nature Center at Lake Cachuma. Get a close-up encounter with live owls, scorpions, spiders and snakes, along with some real skulls and bones!
There will also be arts & craft activities, plus witches and more to get you in the halloween spirit. Todd Baron, "The Balloon Man" will be on hand to create snakes and spiders from balloons. Popcorn and punch will be provided.
On the lawn at the Nature Center Gabrielle Drozdowski will introduce you to Max her Great Horned Owl. Alice Abela and her collection of spiders, snakes and other reptiles will offer an exciting view into a fascinating world of small beings and Melinda Alvarado will teach you all you would like to know about bats – up close! Other activities will entertain youngsters and parents alike. Arts and crafts activities will be a center attraction and Todd Baron – “The Balloon Man” will be on hand to create snakes and ‘n spiders out of balloons for all as well as music performed by Lindsay and Dan Whipple.
Admission to Creepy Creatures is FREE with your park entry fee of $10 per vehicle.
