Daniel Solorzano will provide an overview of the current research on racial microaggressions and discuss the implications for teaching, classroom interaction and learning. Solorzano will share various forms of data and a working model to examine racial microaggressions, exploring the frontiers of this research and the questions yet unanswered. He will engage the audience in a dialogue about how we can improve the learning environment to maximize engagement, learning and discovery for our increasingly diverse community. Daniel Solorzano is Professor of Social Science and Comparative Education in the Graduate School of Education and Information Studies at UCLA.
