Where: Old Mission Santa Barbara, 2201 Laguna St. , Santa Barbara
Age limit: All ages

On the Memorial Day weekend, 300 artists and young people transform the Old Mission plaza with 150 colorful, large-scale street paintings. The artists (madonnari) begin drawing on Saturday and continue throughout the three-day festival. For 25,000 annual visitors, each day the festival also features live music on the Mission lawn, authentic Italian cuisine, specialty items, and a street painting area just for children. Free admission and wheelchair accessible. www.Imadonnarifestival.com 805-964-4710 ext. 4411
