Cooking Magic with Anti-Inflammatory Vegetables and Spices

Taught by Aparna Khanolkar, this class will focus on cooking with a wide selection of Indian spices long used in Ayurvedic medicine and Indian foods. Learn how to spice up your cooking with the full range of medicinally rich Indian spices including ginger, cardamom, coriander, cumin, cloves, fenugreek, fennel, and of course, turmeric. Explore Indian vegetarian cuisine and Ayurvedic spices and learn the skills to prepare healthy, densely nourishing, healing, delicious Indian dishes.
Classes are scheduled for two hours, but please allow an extra thirty minutes for clean-up.
Aparna Khanolkar, The Mistress of Spice, is a private chef and cooking instructor in Santa Barbara. A former chef for the Chopra Center for Well-Being, she is also the author of Happy Belly Happy Soul, a vegetarian cookbook.
