The event is scheduled as a kick off to a month’s worth of activities leading up to the big Earth Day weekend in April. 1% for the Planet and Planet Solar are event sponsors.

Three talented Santa Barbara based artists will feature their ocean-inspired art, including: Sean Calen Blake, Chris Potter, and Blakeney Sanford. Artists have graciously agreed to donate 30% of proceeds from sales to SB Earth Day.

Deer Leg, an eclectic, groovy Americana project will provide the music, and pattern themselves after such artists such as J. J. Cale, Neil Young, Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson, Paul Butterfield, Ween, Waylon Jennings, & Willie Nelson.

The Community Environmental Council (www.cecbs.org) will provide Earth Day details including how to get involved, how to register local organizations and businesses as Earth Day exhibitors, how to volunteer at the annual festival and more. Earth Day sponsor 1% For The Planet will provide information on a new effort encouraging central coast businesses to become part of the 1% FTP network. 1% FTP businesses pledge 1% of their annual sales to various environmental initiatives.

Proceeds from Green Drinks support the Community Environmental Council’s (CEC) Annual Earth Day Festival. To learn more, visit www.cecbs.org or www.sbearthday.org.
