The West Coast Symphony Orchestra presents American Salute!

For the first time in its 44-year history of concerts in Santa Barbara, the Cielo Foundation for the Performing Arts and the West Coast Symphony Orchestra will present an American Salute!, a Fourth of July concert of American musical favorites.

Founder/Conductor Christopher Story VI will share the podium with Associate Conductor Dr. Michael Shasberger, Adams Chair of Music and Worship at Westmont College, when the Cielo Foundation for the Performing Arts, in cooperation with the Spirit of '76 Foundation.

American music classics to be performed by the orchestra will include Battle Hymn of the Republic; Morton Gould's American Salute; Summertime from George Gershwin's Porgy and Bess; America The Beautiful; God Bless America; Nelson Riddle's arrangement of People will Say We're in Love; Oh What a Beautiful Morning from Oklahoma and Stars and Stripes Forever. The concert will also feature a barbershop chorus in a medley of popular favorites.
