Description:
Enjoy an evening of outstanding food and wine tasting and sharing, in a highly social and energizing atmosphere. Max's Cucina pairs a gourmet four-course meal with the wine theme of the month, and a winemaker entertains & educates between courses. Our format is unique -- you bring the wine, no corkage! Event averages 35+ bottles to taste during an evening!
Each couple (or individual) brings a nice bottle of the theme wine -- Red Zinfandel -- produced in California. This will be shared with everyone else during the first 45 minutes, complemented by the gourmet cheese course from C'est Cheese. Getting a small taste of so many bottles side-by-side is a unique opportunity as well as a great mingling activity.
Then all attendees will be seated at large tables to encourage interaction for the remainder of the meal. Many attendees bring a different bottle (again no corkage) to share with the table. Donald Thiessens, winemaker at Stacked Stone Cellars in Paso Robles, will be the guest speaker, pouring several of his wines.
Cost is $50 plus tax/tip, see the menu here. Advance reservations via credit card required. Please call Max's at 805-898-9121, & note that these events tend to sell out early. Max's is located at 3514 State St. in Santa Barbara.
