Dennis James: "Mr. Hooray for Hollywood” Dennis James is a world renowned organist who began performing films with orchestras in 1971, and was the last appointed organist at Ohio Theatre in Columbus, Ohio. His orchestra debut was with the Chicago Symphony at Orchestra Hall in 1985. He toured with silent film stars Lillian Gish and Charles “Buddy” Rogers in the 1980s accompanying them on a revival of their motion pictures. James has been the house organist for the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, and his theme song is “Hooray for Hollywood."
