The Upbeat was formed in 1985, and has been pumping out a unique blend of ska, roots reggae, and rocksteady, with politically and environmentally conscious lyrics, for the last 24 years.
Cornerstone
California-based, Cornerstone, has been pumping out high-energy reggae since 2005. Their style has evolved into an emerging urban reggae sound like no other. Comprised of Santa Barbara’s local reggae veterans, this all- star line up fuses traditional reggae with a conscious Californian urban vibe to create a unique sound, while staying true to the fundamentals of roots reggae. The album, self-titled “Cornerstone” was mastered by two-time Grammy nominated mastering engineer, John Greenham and delivers a sonic wave of timeless reggae music.
