A Minneapolis resident, Ms. Evingson, has recently released a CD, Sweet Happy Life, featuring songs written by Mr. Gimbel. Some of the songs included on the disc are Girl from Ipanema, Killing Me Softly with His Song, Blusette, and Canadian Sunset. This disc was #10 in the nation on the Jazz Weekly Chart and is in the top 100 for the year 2012 on jazz radio. Ms. Evingson has appeared on NPR's Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor and with the Toronto Symphony conducted by Doc Severinson. Accompanying her in this upcoming concert are local fine musicians, Chris Judge on guitar, Jim Connelly on bass, and Kevin Winard on drums. Please join us for a remarkable afternoon of jazz.
