Slow Art Day is a global, all-volunteer event with a simple mission: help more people discover for themselves the joy of looking at and loving art. On one day each year, visitors come to more than 200 museums and galleries around the world to view art slowly. Participants observe, practice, and discuss the art of seeing and how it enhances and influences their experience of looking at artwork
