On Saturday, April 13th at 7:30, The Hay Dudes will perform as part of the Song Tree Concert Series. This Central Coast trio consists of Kenny Blackwell, Mike Mullins, and Wally Barnick.
Kenny Blackwell is a master mandolinist as well as guitar player, on both acoustic and electric guitar. He is an in-demand session player and keeps a full calendar playing with at least a half dozen bands in and around the central coast of California. For many years he was the featured mandolin player in the Laurel Canyon Ramblers, and was at Song Tree in 2008 in The Rhythm Brothers.
Mike Mullins is also expert with the mandolin and guitar. He was a founding member of the 1990's festival favorites the Acousticats, and since 1993 has filled the guitar chair for the well-known California acoustic group the Cache Valley Drifters. Mike is also a prolific composer and songwriter, and is currently recording material for "Windows of Time," an upcoming solo project.
Wally Barnick is an old rock and roll guy who caught the acoustic music fever in the '70s. He, too, is currently and has been a member of the Cache Valley Drifters, dating back to 1975.
Their recently released, self-titled first album material is featured in their live performances.

This concert will take place on Saturday, April 13th at 7:30 pm at the Live Oak Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 820 N. Fairview in Goleta. Admission is $15 and people under 16 are free. Tickets are available in advance by mail (see the web site for information), and at Folk Mote Music, and Jensen Guitar and Music in Santa Barbara. Tickets will also be sold at the door if not sold out in advance.
