Description:
Please join us for a solo exhibition by the artist Malka. The exhibit marks Malka's 80th birthday and spans the past twenty years of her life as an artist. Home and family, heritage, women's suffering, imprisoned women and empowered women are each subjects deeply rooted in her body of work. Malka's artwork not only brings awareness to difficult and painful topics, but it also embodies the enduring strength of women across many cultures. Malka makes both large and small scale works and uses a plethora of materials, including cast bronze and aluminum, to communicate her passions and life experiences to the world.
The exhibition is curated by Deborah B.Thompson, whose last exhibit was Gloria Stuart's Centennial Celebration and Retrospective at ACE Gallery in Beverly Hills. This private event is being hosted in honor of Malka and is not affiliated with the Contemporary Arts Forum.
