The Goleta Valley Senior Center will be recognized for their leadership in building a community where people of all abilities are welcome and celebrated. The Goleta Valley Senior Center creates an environment that supports the inclusion of people with developmental disabilities as valued members of their community.
For the past 59 years, Alpha Resource Center of Santa Barbara has been creating inclusive opportunities for people with developmental disabilities. Alpha provides education, skill development, employment, and promotes independence. The “Imagine a World” award recognizes businesses, organizations, and individuals that treat all people with dignity and respect and fosters a community that welcomes the participation of all people.
