Peggy Brierton presents a collection of paintings that move the spirit of the viewer; her love of the natural world is made obvious in her work. The power of the images encourages one to be transported to an interior space to experience the scene the painter presents. The experience is different in each of the works, as the painter prides herself on making sure each piece is unique and one of a kind.
This is a great opportunity to meet the artist and learn more about her influences, her painting practices, and the concepts that drive her work. Peggy’s home town is Buellton and she has been a professional artist for more than 25 years. She founded Zaca Creek Gallery which has showcased
local artists along with own work. She has taught art classes locally and is active in our local arts community, avidly supporting art and artists.
This exhibit is one of a continuing series of shows made possible by the commitment of the Los Olivos Café to showcase local art and artists. The Artists Guild of the Santa Ynez Valley, a nonprofit arts organization with over thirty years of history in the area, coordinates and manages the “art without borders” installation in cooperation with the Café. A portionof art sales benefits AGSYV and these collaborative efforts - a way to keep art alive and accessible in the Santa Ynez Valley.
