Robert Piccioni, PhD: Science and Faith

Expert will discuss science's strengths and weaknesses, examine remarkable similarities between the Big Bang Theory and The Book of Genesis, and critique recent claims by famous scientists that say "God is unnecessary."

“Science and Faith can be compatible,” Dr. Piccioni says. “At their best, both are sincere efforts to find Truth—something everyone should value. We will discuss what science is and its strengths and weaknesses. We will examine the remarkable similarities between science’s Big Bang theory and The Book of Genesis, and discuss the “Oldest Testament” of nature. Finally, we will critique recent claims by famous scientists that “God is unnecessary.”

Dr. Piccioni has a B.S. in physics from Caltech and a Ph.D. in high energy physics from Stanford University. He was a faculty member at Harvard University and did research at both the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center and the Fermi National Accelerator Lab. He is a public speaker, educator and expert on cosmology and Einstein's theories.
