Two hundred years ago, a maritime battle waged between the English Monarchy and the Americans during the War of 1812. Now, the war ships used during those epic naval fights can be seen firsthand in Sea Battles of the War of 1812: An Exhibition of 25 Oil Paintings by Hans Skalagard, a new show at the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum, just in time for the bicentennial of one of America’s most remarkable conflicts at sea.
