The Santa Barbara Chamber Singers (SBCS) are a newly formed vocal group under the direction of Dr. Michael Shasberger (of Westmont College), and are busy preparing for their 2012 Holiday Concert.

Program will include selections such as Carol of the Bells, and Calypso Carol, as well as more modern works such as O Nata Lux by Morten Lauridsen and All My Heart This Night Rejoices by Z. Randall Stroope.

The mission of the Santa Barbara Chamber Singers is to provide quality choral music to the Santa Barbara community. They are a locally based group that enjoys the study and performance of excellent choral music, and hope to ignite a love and passion for choral literature in those who encounter them in concert. They typically perform choral music of various genres, from Renaissance motets to spirituals and newly composed works.
