Dr. Abdelfattah Abusrour, founder and general manager of Al-Rowwad Cultural and Theatre Training Center in Bethlehem, Palestine will speak about the work he does with children and women in the Aida refugee camp. Focusing on drama, dance, song, photography and video, Al-Rowwad develops self-expression, openness and a sense of belonging in participants whose lives are heavily impacted by occupation. Dr. Abusrour and Al-Rowwad provide an alternative to stereotypical views of Palestinian life.
