2011 Great Strides Walk
A 5K walk along an ocean-front pathway, followed by entertainment, lunch, and festivities. All proceeds raised will go toward finding a cure for cystic fibrosis.

In cities all across the United States, tens of thousands of people are showing their commitment to “adding tomorrows every day” to the lives of those with cystic fibrosis through the simple act of walking with Great Strides. CF is a fatal disease that clogs the lungs and can impact the digestive system, causing life-threatening infections and premature death. More than 10 million Americans are unknowing carriers of the cystic fibrosis gene. To stay alive, many survivors swallow up to 40 pills a day and spend hours each day clearing their lungs with intense breathing treatments. Nearly ninety cents of every dollar of Foundation revenue is invested in vital research, medical and education programs.
