In this amazing theater performance veteran actor Jeffrey Paul Whitman brings the book to life for two performances, giving people a rare chance to catch a glimpse of 19th Century life at sea. Published in 1840, Two Years Before the Mast details author Richard Henry Dana’s experiences as a merchant seaman on a ship that stored and transported cured leather hides along the California coast (then still part of Mexico).
