Fundraiser that will include a silent auction of various pottery, jewelery, and ceramic pieces locally made and donated with all proceeds going directly to the international relief fund for Japan.
Margie Basch, a ceramics teacher in the Santa Barbara Adult Education program, is organizing this event with 100% of the proceeds to be donated to Direct Relief International for the disaster victims of last months earthquake and tsunami. World renowned artists and the faculty and students of the students of Santa Barbara's Continuing Education have donated clay art, pottery and jewelry for this event, which also includes a silent auction. In addition, a local teacher has organized his class to create and produce ceramic pieces for a special children's table in an effort to get them involved".
The fundraiser will be held on May 7th, from 9am to 7pm at Tannahill Auditorium (Schott Center, 310 W Padre Street)
