Bring the whole family and enjoy 1st Thursday together in SBMA’s Family Resource Center located across from the Museum Café on the Lower Level. Museum teaching artists will assist families in creating special exhibition-based art projects. Afterwards, enjoy selected galleries until 8pm.

Egyptian Art from the Permanent Collection: Royal Family Self-Portraits
Pose in profile to draw a self-portrait donning a regal headdress, the Sekham Scepter, and an Ankh (the symbol of life giving) in the style of Khaemwaset, Crown Prince, Son of Rameses II in the Museum’s permanent collection of Egyptian Art.

Presenting Noh Drama: Stage Stories Shadow Boxes
Reimagine the tales of Noh Drama by creating a shadow box with theatrical settings and richly costumed characters inspired by the exhibition of Japanese master print designer Tsukioka K gyo’s works currently on view.
