Art Heals Exhibition
Hosted by the Cancer Center of Santa Barbara
With support from Santa Barbara City College Adult Education, the Cancer Center of Santa Barbara presents its third annual “Art Heals” exhibition, featuring artwork done by cancer patients, survivors and community members. This extraordinary collection of works gives vision and voice to the experiences of those who have been touched by cancer. Instructor and local artist, Rick Stich, will showcase his students work in the hallways of the Cancer Center while guests enjoy wine, cheese, and a raffle for works of art donated by the Santa Barbara Art Association to benefit the Cancer Center of Santa Barbara Wellness Program.
Research suggests that the creative process involved in making art is healing and life-enhancing. The Cancer Center of Santa Barbara is proud to be able to offer art programs and other forms of therapy free of charge to anyone living with, through, or beyond cancer.
