Memorial services for SBCC Continuing Education instructor Anne Lowenkopf, who passed away on December 7, 2010, will be held on Sunday, February 13 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Schott Center Auditorium at 310 West Padre Street in Santa Barbara.
Former colleagues, students, and friends are invited to attend, share memories, and bring a finger-food snack or treat. Beverages will be provided.
Copies of AnneThology - a limited-edition collection of student writing inspired by Anne’s teaching - will be available for $20; the proceeds go to the Anne Lowenkopf Honorary Fund at SBCC.
The book includes tips on writing by Anne and a forward by her husband, Shelly Lowenkopf, a renowned editor and educator.
Anne taught writing and literature at SBCC for 30 years and was an established author and sought-after editor.
