Describing himself as “an intense student” of photography, Weingarten’s work is similarly challenging, for each of these bodies of work are unique photographic investigations. Moving from the fidelity of film to record nature to the use of digital imaging to achieve abstraction in his work, he discusses what was lost in the transition and what he gained in the process.
