ACLU Fall Forum

S.B. County Chapter of the ACLU's forum will host experts from the criminal justice system, UCSB, and the community to debate the pros and cons of Measure S, a ½ cent sales tax intended to pay for a new North County jail.

When: Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010, 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Where: Embarcadero Hall, Embarcadero del Norte and Seville Rd., Isla Vista, CA

EVENT: Experts from criminal justice, from UCSB, and from the community will debate the pros and cons of MEASURE S, a ½ cent sales tax intended to pay for a new North County Jail and for added public safety services including law enforcement, fire protection, recidivism reduction efforts, and alternatives-to-incarceration programs.

Presentations will be followed by an audience question and answer period.
