Description:
The Santa Barbara Master Chorale, under the direction of Westmont Professor Dr. Steven Hodson, presents the glorious Mozart Requiem. The Chorale will be joined by soloists Celeste Tavera, Susan Davies, Grey Brothers, and Michael Shasberger. Also on the program is Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 5, "The Turkish," performed by Westmont Professor Dr. Philip Ficsor. There is both a night time and a day time performance: Saturday, November 20, at 8:00, and Sunday, November 21, at 2:30. The amazing acoustics of the First United Methodist Church, at the corner of Garden and Anapamu, will resonate with Mozart's fireworks and fugues. General admission is $20, seniors are $18, college students are $10, and students K–12 are free. Tickets can be purchased at Chaucer's Bookstore, S.B. Sheet Music, and at the door.
