Paul in Two Worlds:

A Jew and a Christian Talk about the Apostle

PRESS RELEASE for immediate release

Jesus Seminar to visit Solvang, CA, November 5-6, 2010

The Apostle Paul was the first Christian theologian but he was not a Christian. He was a Jew. Christians revere (and sometimes revile) him but do they really know this figure who stands in two worlds? On November 5-6, in a program entitled “Paul in Two Worlds,” scholars of the Jesus Seminar will address this and other questions about the historical Jesus. Founded in 1985, the Jesus Seminar was organized to discover and report a scholarly consensus on the historical authenticity of the sayings and events attributed to Jesus. This program, part of the “Jesus Seminar on the Road” series, is sponsored by Westar Institute, a non-profit organization dedicated to religious literacy. It will be held at Bethania Lutheran Church, 603 Atterdag Rd, in Solvang.
