Their time-honored take on original songs is garnering worldwide praise for reinvigorating and keeping an entire genre of American music alive. The Chicago Tribune calls them “An exquisite African-American old timey string band;” while blues legend Taj Mahal declares, “The Carolina Chocolate Drops can really play, their music is electrifying!”
